William Ryder

William marched with the Sacramento Mandarins in 2010, the Vanguard Cadets in 2011, and the Bluecoats in 2013. William also marched Freelancers for the infamous 2010 season and won gold with Vanguard Winter Percussion in 2011. He taught at Vanden High School from 2010 to 2015 where he designed, wrote, and ultimately managed the percussion program. In 2014, William served as a snare tech with the Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps and has helped run summer clinics for the Mandarins Academy during the 2014, 2015, and 2017 seasons. He moved to American Canyon High School in 2015 as a battery instructor and visual designer, and serves as a clinician to other programs in the Sacramento and Bay Area.

William is a graduate of the University of California, Davis, with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and an emphasis in Biomedical Engineering. He is also an active performer with Blue Devils Entertainment, which fields Niner Noise, Warriors Aftershock, and other entertainment ensembles in the Bay Area.
