eNVision Finishes Strong!
Seeing doubles? Well you don't need to get your eyes checked. And that's because eNVision came home from the World Championships as the Fans' Favorite for the second year in a row! eNVision has also become a 4-time WGI World Championships Finalist after moving up 6 spots to place 4th this year! The floor was electric with the energy coming off of this years performers. One for the books that no one will soon forget.
Director Aaron Hines said, "It was an incredible rush of emotions to even be on the floor at the World Championship Finals after our organization almost folding less than a year ago. And then to have all our hard work come to fruition was indescribable. I will never forget how much heart this year's young ensemble poured into their last performance. I will cherish it always! Thank you to the members for believing in the staff, the show and most importantly, themselves."
"Performing on the same floor where the best of the best have performed was an experience I will never forget," said guard captain Jasmine Bera.
Erica Wyatt (who has been a part of eNVision since inception) said, "My finals performance was in all ways flawless. From flipping my hair in one bar, to a perfect mallet change and wink in another; everything was in its rehearsed place and I never missed a beat."
Rookie member Albert Rackenberg said, "It was the best performance of my life. Everything fell in to place so well and we were all connected, on the same page, giving it our all on the floor that night. Normally when I perform I put on the emotions of show like masks, not always feeling it but showing it. But in that run through I felt every emotion of the music and the show in my heart and couldn't help smiling, for real. At the end of the performance it didn't matter what place or score we got, I knew what we did was our best and I enjoyed every second of it!"
eNVision successfully hosted 4 events this past winter for ensembles throughout the area to compete and receive feedback. We have seen the circuit grow from 7 ensembles four years ago to 23 at the Championships this season. Thank you to all the NNIA coordinators, volunteers, host schools, directors, administrators and band boosters for making this such a fun environment for our area youth! Congratulations to all the participating ensembles; we look forward to your continued growth and success in 2013!
