Summer Leadership Workshop

July 11-13, 2019

All camp participants will be put in real-world scenarios and discussions designed to increase their knowledge-base on what it means to be a student leader in their own programs. This camp should ultimately empower participants to reach their full potential as a student leader and affect positive change in their own program.

The cost for the camp is free for the first 100 registrations. We will provide:

  • Materials
  • Workshops/Classes/Clinics/Instruction

The schedule for the leadership portion of camp is in the morning so you can sign up for any of the other three afternoon/evening camps (drum major/field conductor, guard, percussion).
 

Schedule & Information

  • Thursday – 4:15pm is the check-in/registration time. This is where you will get your equipment assigned as well. PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE! We will be meeting at Reed HS near the band trailers.
  • We start our workshop at 4:30pm.
  • We will rehearse until 8:30pm. PLEASE know that we will STOP rehearsing at 8:30pm and will then need to return equipment and clean the areas we were in. This will take about 30 minutes.

  • Saturday – 8:30am is the meeting time so we can unload, set-up, and do production run-throughs of our performance our Artown Performance. PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE! We will be meeting the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows William N. Pennington Facility (1300 Foster Dr., Reno, Nevada 89509)
  • 3:00pm is when our Artown Performance begins at the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows William N. Pennington Facility (1300 Foster Dr., Reno, Nevada 89509). ADMISSION IS FREE! This will be a fun time for your friends and family  =)
  • After our performance we will clean up all areas of campus and return all equipment to their rooms or trailers. Expect to be done no earlier than 5pm.
