eNVision Entertains the Local Community:
June 18th, eNVision kicked off the summer by marching with alumni in the Reno Rodeo Parade. 10 snares, 5 tenors, 8 basses, 4 cymbals and 7 guard entertained the downtown city streets.
eNVision is proud to have expanded their color guard this summer with intensions of having an independent guard to join the percussion this coming winter. Guard captain Jasmine Bera (pictured right) said, "It has been an amazing experience to be on the eNVision guard as it has dramatically improved over the past several years. The instructional staff has helped me improve myself in so many ways such as my leadership skills, technique, endurance and overall knowledge of the art of colorguard. eNVision has helped me be a better leader for the guard girls I coach at Shaw Middle School. This is very important to me because coaching is helping keep the guard programs up and running throughout the Reno area. eNVision plays a huge part in keeping all the winter guard and winter percussion programs running in this area. Most of the schools programs are taught by eNVision members or eNVision alumni. It's very exciting to see the eNVision guard grow bigger and bigger each year; we have double the members for guard this year than last. I have always had so much fun performing, especially with eNVision!"
Member Erica Wyatt (pictured left) stated, "eNVision has given me so many opportunities in my life. I have had the opportunity to travel all over the country and meet people from all over the world. We've traveled to places I would never have been and had great experiences learning new things. eNVision has increased my confidence level so much in the past four years. I would have never spoken a word or have had the confidence to get up in front of a crowd and perform a great show. We have had the best staff working with us and I have learned so much from them which has really helped a lot with my teaching and coaching of younger students."
Our new center snare Alen Woo (pictured right) said, "eNVision to me is a place to really improve your percussive skills weather it be on xylophone or a snare drum. You have the chance to work with a great staff, meet new people and become a better person."
