eNVision Members Record JDRF Charity Christmas Album:
This holiday season, a Christmas charity album benefitting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation entitled Hope for the Holidays was released in November 2009 and played on over 2000 radio stations, and it was nationally and internationally distributed by major retailers. It includes members of eNVision Aaron Edgecomb, William Valez, Alen Woo, on snare; Kevin Wilfon, Chris Portugal, on tenors; Elizabeth Cruz, Cole Hamel, on bass drum; Aaron Hines, eNVision Director; Cody Forcier, Reno High Band Director, as well as many other local and national artists on the symphony orchestra track Closing of the Year. The Hope for the Holidays CD also contains holiday favorite singles by The Beach Boys, Weezer, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Collective Soul, Jon Anderson of YES, David Coverdale of Whitesnake, Fabrice Morvan of Milli Vanilli, Kate Cotter & Grace Hutchison, Kostia Efimov and many more. The Closing of the Year is from the Robin Williams film Toys (1992) originally scored by Hans Zimmer, and it was arranged by Jeff DePaoli, including an all-star drum line arranged by Brian Boydstun. The all-star drum line used the Reno High Marching Band drums and was recorded on the Reno High School football field in the summer of 2009. They were later mixed with the JDRF orchestra, vocalists, guitars, the Type 1 Childrens Choir, and other recording artists such as Christian Love of the Beach Boys, and Fabrice Morvan. Cody Forcier played sousaphone on Closing of the Year in the orchestra, and tuba on the heavy metal rendition of Mr. Grinch performed by Haggis Rising. This album was produced by Tom Gordon of Inspired Amateur Productions. The Closing of the Year was re-arranged and premiered by the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra at the Spirit of the Season concert in December 2009. You can purchase the Hope for the Holidays CD which is available at Discology in downtown Reno ($10), Wal Mart, Target, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, Borders, and online at www.holidayhope.net, Amazon, iTunes, CD Baby, J&R, HB Direct, Digstation, CD Universe, and it was distributed in Europe by Voiceprint.
